A Boutique Built From Experience
My Left Breast was founded following a personal journey through breast cancer.

While navigating treatment and recovery, founder Bridget Leslie discovered that many women struggled to find specialized products, professional fittings, and a supportive environment where they felt truly understood.
​
Determined to change that experience for others, she opened My Left Breast in Peterborough, Ontario in 2008.
Her vision was simple: create a welcoming boutique where women could access expert breast prosthesis fittings, mastectomy bras, medical wigs, and personalized support with dignity and privacy.
Today, nearly two decades later, that vision continues to guide everything we do.
A Note From Bridget
Our journey began in 2006 following a personal battle with breast cancer. Through treatment and recovery, I realized women needed more than medical care—they needed a place where they could feel supported, understood, and confident during a challenging time.

In 2008, I opened My Left Breast with a simple mission: to provide a welcoming, private space for mastectomy products, medical wigs, and professional bra fittings. For nearly two decades, we've proudly supported women with personalized care, expertise, and compassion.

As we enter a new chapter, I'm proud to see my daughter stepping into a leadership role, carrying our commitment to dignity, privacy, and exceptional service into the future.
While our business continues to evolve, our purpose remains the same: to help women feel comfortable, confident, and supported at every stage of their journey.
