Breast Surgery FAQs

Book an appointment online and visit us prior to surgery.  We will fit you for a complimentary post surgical bra or camisole and pillow. The post surgical camisole (mastectomy surgery), features a front closure and pouches to hold the drains. The heart pillow can be used under your arm to aid in comfort.

Usually, you can be fitted for a full or partial breast prosthesis between 4-8 weeks post surgery when the incision is healed.

The Ontario Government Assistive Devices Program provides $195 every two years per full Breast Prosthesis and $105 every two years per partial breast prosthesis. We complete the forms with you and submit on your behalf with your permission. The cheque is sent to you within 4-8 weeks.  If you have insurance coverage it is helpful to phone and clarify your insurance prior to your fitting.   We are able to directly submit for Green Shield Coverage.
